Cassetjes vol

Onhandig, zelfs ronduit klunzig als het gaat om mijn gevoelens uit te drukken. Vroeger gaf ik cassetjes vol met ‘ik vind u tof’.
Later: gebrande schijfjes, de megabytes op online-disks, nu soms gewoon de link.
Ik liet de ‘gewone’ versies als linkshandige ‘rechts’ van me liggen maar ging urenlang zoeken naar de ‘andere’ versies.
Ik ben blijven zoeken naar de speciallekes en deze week vond ik er enkele bij de OAL-sessions voor op mijn lijstje, feel free om ze aan te vullen…

Een andere wereld

Niet de nieuwe aarde van Eckhart Tolle, maar deze keer de andere wereld van Antony and the Johnsons die me in mijn buik vastgrijpt. Opgemerkt voor het eerst op ‘Volta’ van Björk (super clip) en sindsdien één van mijn favorieten. Nu is hij er weer met een nieuwe cd en de eerste track is weer raak, mijn hart trekt samen, tranen, kippevel, …

Vond het nogal onwaarschijnlijk dat Aretha Franklin ‘Shave me‘ zou zingen.
Nochthans: ik zou beter moeten weten ! Ik weet dat ik me voor de Engelse uitspraak niet mag baseren op wat ik hoor, zelfs niet van de Engelstaligen zelf.

En zeker niet letten op de schrijfwijze. Ik heb een jaren gezongen:
